The New York Knicks were in a battle on this Easter Sunday with a team that wanted this win just as much as they did. The Knicks led the game after they completely dominated the Chicago Bulls in the first quarter of play 31-19. The Bulls had the look of being stunned on their face after that first quarter performance by the New York Knicks. Many were thinking the Knicks couldn’t win without Jeremy Lin or at least not be able to win the big games. They were dead wrong.

The Knicks let Chicago outscored them in the second quarter by four, New York still went into the locker room at the half with a commanding lead 53-45 Knicks. New York came out and played the third quarter pretty well, you could see the momentum was starting to switch in favor of the Bulls. Chicago outscored New York in the thrid quarter by 11 points. Even with that the Knicks were still able to play tough in the fourth to get things close. How Close were they? Close enough to force an overtime in which the New York Knicks found a way to win.

The Knicks outscored Chicago just enough in the overtime period to get the win over the Bulls by one point. The Knicks won the game 100-99, wow was this a great game. Carmelo Anthony played lights out basketball today scoring 43 points for the Knicks, his performance probably helped the Knicks win this game single-handedly today. Anthony also had 7 rebounds and 3 assists. The Knicks needed Anthony to step up big today and he answered the call.
