If you were one of the people hoping Woods would be playing at the US Open at Pinehurst next month. You won’t be let down. There will be a Woods playing in US Open in June, it will be Cheyenne Woods, the niece of PGA Tour professional Tiger Woods.
Cheyenne made her way into the woman’s US Open at a sectional qualifier in Scottsdale, Ariz. She shot rounds of, 73 and 68 at the Country Club at DC Ranch. Just like Tiger, Cheyenne had to rally to make the show.
She shot a 3-under 32 on her final nine holes to grab one of three qualifying spots available.
Cheyenne shot a 1 under par total of 141 total that left her in a tie with, Arizona State commit Madison Kerley, for second place. Sadena Parks took home medalist honors by four shots after rounds of 69 and 68, you may remember her as a Big Break contestant.
While it won’t be Tiger Woods playing in a US Open next month, you’ll still be able to enjoy watching a Woods play in a US Open. If you have ever seen, Cheyenne Woods, you just might enjoy watching her a little more than looking at Tiger. After all she is very easy on the eyes.
