The Bridgestone Invitational got off this morning and a few players taking advantage of the good conditions today. Tiger Woods is set to tee off this afternoon and some guys have already played some pretty good golf. The leaders at present are K.T. Kim and Lee Westwood both at 4 under par. Westwood has 6 holes left to play and Kim has two hole remaining in his first round. Retief Goosen is one of the players in the club house at 3 under par tied with Carl Pettersson and Bill Haas who both finished their first round.

It is good to see Retief playing well again, Goosen has been bothered by back problems for some time and has not been able to play like the Retief of old. In other news around the course it look like Phil Mickelson was going to be off to a good start today, he was one under par after 4 holes. Phil went off the back first today and went out in one under, this is the good news. The bad news is Mickelson made a double bogey on number three and a bogey on number four to go 2 over par with four holes left to play in his opening round.

If Tiger wants to be the first round leader tonight he knows what he has to do.
