Phil Mickelson is in some serious trouble this week down at Arnie’s Bay Hill Club. He could miss the cut the way he is playing. In his first round he carded a 1 over par 73 after making 7 bogies, 1 eagle and 4 birdies. Today in his second round he teed off on the back nine and went in with a 4 over par 40 after making a 7 on the par 4 13th.

To make matters worse for Mickelson, he made another 7 on the front nine which came at the par 5 sixth hole. Phil is in some serious trouble with the Masters a tournament that he really enjoys just about 21 days away. If Phil can;t find his game before heading to Augusta, he will not only disappoint the fans who love to watch him play, he will disappoint himself if he missed the cut at Augusta.

The way Phil is playing today it looks like his swing has left him. He normally plays the game very aggressively and for him not to be able to find something during his round to correct the ship is not like what we are used to seeing out of Mickelson.

The projected cut at Bay Hill is 2 over. Phil is already 5 over par with only 2 holes left to play in his second round. What is he going to do to get his game in shape with the Masters just weeks away? Mickelson has to find something in his swing to get himself back on tract. If he can’t 2013 in going to be a very miserable season for Mickelson.
