That Matt Ryan is NOT the first qb since Bart Starr to throw five interceptions and still have his team win the game??

Tony Romo (who else?) threw five pics against the Bills in Buffalo five seasons ago and won on a Nick Folk field goal, as I recall.  I remember the game clearly both because I had money on the game (I won’t say which side) and because I remember using that game as an obvious case in point as to why it’s dumb beyond belief to give quarterbacks won-lost records as though THEY’RE the ones who are solely responsible for winning games.

This is very true. However, the “record” was that he threw 5 interceptions and NO touchdowns. On that day, Romo threw for 2 touchdowns with his 5 interceptions.

Wow what a waste of time… it wasn’t even a Ryan fact, it was an incorrect Romo fact. Yikes… Talk about Ryan being the most clutch qb in the last 5 years.

However, Romo also threw 2 TDs in that game. Ryan was indeed the first QB since Starr to throw 5 int’s AND no TD passes and still win the game.
