The team that showed up to play their first preseason game against the New York Giants had on Steelers uniforms but it didn’t look like the finally tuned Pittsburgh team you expected. Big Ben Roethlisberger only completed 4 of his 8 attempts.

Sure this is preseason and you can chalk it up to practice, but we still have grown to expect more out of the Steelers than we saw last night. The Steelers have their work cut out for them to get ready for the 2013 season.

They didn’t do much well in the game last night. The offense looked a bit out of time and they didn’t dominate the way a Steelers team does. What does all this mean? Nothing, the Steelers are still putting things together.

There are going to be personnel changes taking place this season and they are still figuring it all out. By the time the next preseason game gets here, I would expect to see a different team than we saw last night.

The Steelers are going to go back to camp to work a few things out. They know preseason means nothing and they have time to get ready for the season. The closer we get to the season, the better the team will get.

They will improve their timing and the offense will be firing on all cylinders.  After one poor showing in the preseason it isn’t time to write the Steelers off. I still want to know who those impersonators were last night.
