Tiger Woods comes into the Arnold Palmer Invitational, as the defending champion. What can we expect from Woods at the Kings tournament. Woods hasn’t been able to string 4 solid rounds together this season.
This tournament means a lot to everyone playing in it. Woods is no exception. He loves playing at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and he respects the King for everything he stands for.
Bay Hill Club & Lodge, in Orlando, FL is no push over. It is a challenging course and Woods has played it better than most. But this season Tiger’s physical problems could slow him down at Bay Hill.
Woods has been suffering back problems and this has stalled his momentum. If he is healthy, he could be a contender. Woods has won this event 8 times, including back to back wins in 2012 & 2013.
This would make it 3 in a row, if he can manage to play solid enough to stay on the top of the leader-board. Winning an event 8 times is UN-heard of on the PGA tour. It doesn’t happen that often, and if Tigers back will let him play, we could be talking about win number 9 come Sunday.
If Woods is going to hoist the winning trophy come Sunday evening, a lot of things need to go right, and his back problems have to stay in check. This field is full of guys who are going to make it tough on Woods and any one of them are capable of winning at Bay Hill.
Tiger isn’t going to have it easy this week.
