Von Miller will be missing from the Denver Broncos defense for six games. yes you read it right six games. Miller is now admitting that he made some mistakes when it comes to the NFL’s substance abuse policy even though his didn’t test positive for a banned substance.

Miller came out today and made this statement;

The Substances of Abuse policy requires everyone to comply with the rules. Although my suspension doesn’t result from a positive test, there is no excuse for my violations of the rules,” Miller said. “I made mistakes and my suspension has hurt my team, Broncos fans, and myself. I am especially sorry for the effect of my bad decisions on others. I will not make the same mistakes about adhering to the policy in the future. During my time off the field, I will work tirelessly and focus exclusively on remaining in peak shape. I look forward to contributing immediately upon my return to the field and bringing a championship back to the people of Denver.”

Is is going to test the depths of the Broncos defense not having Miller for 6 games. No with the news of a Champ Bailey injury, the Broncos are going to be missing a couple of veteran players that solidify the defense.

The NFL was going to issue Miller a suspension for the full season. Then they dropped it down to 8 games before the sides settled on the 6 games. All Miller had to do was to cooperate and he could have avoided this suspension.
