It was another day of Woods and McIlroy doing head to head battle, at one point it looked like McIlroy was going to distance himself away from Woods and had a 3 stroke lead over Tiger. Woods dug down deep and got back into the round to finish his day tied for second with McIlroy, and Moore. Crooked Stick Golf Club is seeing some great golf being played there this week. We haven’t seen this kind of play from Tiger Woods in some time. Him and McIlroy would shoot lights out again today in their second rounds of the BMW Championship. This is the most round Tiger Woods has shot in the 60′s in a row going back to last weeks tournament.

Woods would finish his second round with a 5 under par 67 and McIlroy would finish his second round with a 4 under par 68. This is just what the doctor has ordered for Tiger Woods, going head to head with Rory McIlroy seems to be bringing something out of Woods that has been missing for years. Woods has to be proud of the way he is battling to stay near the top of the leader board this week. Now the trick will be for him to be there on Sunday.

Vijay Singh is having another great tournament. With his first round of 65 and his second round 66 today he has put himself into the lead. Singh has played some great golf for the past month or so too. At his age the trick for him is to be there on Sunday too. He is showing he has what it takes to battle for the lead with these young guys on the PGA Tour. He has to pull off a win soon if he can hold up physically at his age.

Ryan Moore 2 rounds of 66 has him right there with Woods and McIlroy, I am looking for a real shootout come the weekend at Crooked Stick Golf Club. This years BMW Championship has really given the golf fans their monies worth so far. Stay tuned we are in for some great weekend play at the BMW Championship…
