It started Thursday night in Cleveland when Justin Verlander gave up back to back home runs to lose the lead he had. Then the Tigers would drop the game. The next night the Tigers would lose again. With all the losses the Tigers are falling in the A.L. Central where they are now 2-1/2 games back behind Chicago. The Tigers looked good until that Verlander loss. The team was tearing up the wins and they looked unstoppable. Baseball is a funny game.

Detroit, the team with the mighty offense has lost two games in a row to the Toronto Blue Jays, the Tigers last loss was 5-1. You have to wonder how the Blue Jays could shut down the mighty offense. The Tigers pitching hasn’t been that bad. The Tigers just weren’t able to put runs on the board. Anibal Sanchez pitched for 6 innings and gave up five runs. That is all it would take to get the Blue Jays the win, Henderson Alvarez gave the Blue Jays 7 good innings of work only giving up 5 hits and one run.

The Tigers have to get their offense going if they are to return to their winning ways. If they don’t the White Sox could continue to pull away in the A.L. Central. Something tells me the Tigers will get back to winning….
