How exciting to see Tyler Duncan off to such a wonderful start in this 2017-18 wrap around season.

7 under par after round one and following it up with a 6 under par 66 on Friday. He started on the back and shot 3 under par 33 then the fun began.

On the front nine he starts off birdie, bogey, bogey, bogey, another birdie, par, birdie, birdie, & eagle 3 on the ninth hole for a wild and crazy 33-33=66.

Brendan Steele, one of the first round leaders, was solid today with a 67 and a two-day total -12 under and only one shot out of the lead.

Chesson Hadley did the improbable no almost impossible today and ended up all lone in third place. Let me explain……on Thursday he was EVEN PAR and shot a 72.

Today is sits at -11 under because he shot a 61. Yep here is how his round went…….all birdies nod pars you say? NOPE.

starting on the front with a par, birdie, par, birdie, birdie, BOGEY, birdie, birdie, EAGLE. that meant a 6 under par 30 on the front nine!

Back side par, birdie, par, 4 birdies in a row, and then par, par for a 31. Yes a 61 and was vaulted into 3rd place when he was in danger of missing the cut!

The cut was one under par. John Daly had a one way ticket home until he went birdie, par, par, par, & a birdie to make the cut. You know his steak tasted extra good tonight!

I’m getting concerned about some of our guys who keep missing the cut……Keegan Bradley, Harris English, Aaron Baddley, KJ Choi, Johnson Wagner.

That’s just a few we follow closely and feel terrible every time they miss a cut. It has happened way too often this year. Heck Johnson Wagner lost his card.

I hope he gets a bunch of sponsor’s exemptions. He really is one of the good guys out there.

We will have some awesome golf this weekend. Have fun watching!!
