Scores were not as low on Saturday as they have been the first two days of golf here at the Safeway Open, in Napa California. Tyler Duncan fired a -1 under par 71 and held onto the lead by one stroke after 2 rounds.

In second place is Chesson Hadley coming in with a 2 under par 70 after he was put on a “59” watch Friday, and ended with a remarkable 61.

Bud Cauley was one of a few players today to go low when he carded a -6 under par 66 to move into a tie for third place with Brendan Steele.

The big story this week is Phil “The Thrill” Mickelson who came thru again today with a -4 under par 68.

That left Phil in a tie for 7th place after the third round. He is really feeling it and a low round tomorrow could give him that long wanted win!

I’m so excited with the rest of the schedule for the wrap around season. The CIMB Classic is in Kuala Lumpur next week.

They head to Korea next with the CJ Cup @ Nine Bridges on Jeju Island Korea.

Oct 26 will be the Sanderson Farms Championship the same week as the World Golf Championships HSBC Champions in Shanghai China.

The first week of November is the Shriners Hospitals for Children Championship in Las Vegas.

The Next week features the OHL Classic at Mayakoba in Playa Del Carmen Mexico, which Pat Perez won last year and catapulted his year and allowed him to finish STRONG!

My favorite tournament is the RSM Classic at Sea Island Georgia hosted by Davis Love III. What a great tournament and always brings in a great field! It will be Nov 16-19.
