HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC – Rafa Cabrera Bello and Hideto Tanihara have committed to play in the 49th annual RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing. South Carolina’s only PGA TOUR event is being held April 10-16, 2017 over the famed Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island, S.C.
Previous commitments include past champions Stewart Cink, Jim Furyk, Branden Grace, Matt Kuchar, Graeme McDowell, Brandt Snedeker and Boo Weekley. Fan favorites including Luke Donald, Jason Dufner, Ernie Els, Louis Oosthuizen, Ian Poulter and Webb Simpson are also scheduled to compete for a share of the $6.5 million purse.
Cabrera Bello is #26 in the World Golf Ranking. The Spaniard has earned four International victories since turning pro in 2005. He also represented Spain in the 2016 Olympics and finished tied for 5th.
Tanihara is #48 in the World Golf Ranking. The Japanese native turned pro in 2000 and has earned 13 International victories. He made the PGA TOUR leaderboard earlier this month when he finished fourth at the WGC – Dell Technologies Match Play.
