Tom Brady and his New England rookie receivers got a win against the New York Jets last night but it wasn’t easy. The Jets and Geno Smith gave the Patriots all they could handle in the game.
One of the biggest problems Brady faced besides a heavy Jets pass rush, was his receivers lack of ability to catch the football. The Patriots could put any points on the board in the second half of the game.
Seeing the Patriots offense struggle for an entire half of a game against a team like the Jets, make me wonder what is going to happen when they face a tough opponent.
Brady doesn’t usually go 2 quarters with out finding the end zone. This isn’t something we are used to seeing. Tom Brady is going to need some help this season from his receivers.
He needs them to step up and make plays. The Patriots took a big hit in the off season losing Welker in the free agency market and the team is still waiting for one of Brady’s favorite targets to return.
Tom Brady only threw for 185 yards in last nights game, he only had one touchdown and he looked to have a sore right hand. He was seen on the sidelines spraying his right hand with some kind of cooling agent.
The Patriots might be 2-0 on the season, but considering they haven’t played a team from outside of the state of New York so far, the record is not that impressive. Lets hope the Patriots receivers can step it up before they face a tougher opponent.
