What could be better in Kansas City? The Chiefs being undefeated, or the fact that Justin Houston is having a spectacular 2013 NFL season. Houston is the example of how to play O.L.B. in the NFL. He has totaled 8.5 sacks and is second in the league in sack totals and we are only 5 weeks into the season.
Houston also has 23 tackles and a forced fumble. This guy is playing at a level that doesn’t come around but once in a generation. He could be right up there with some of the all-time best Outside Linebackers in the history of the NFL by the time he is done if he stays healthy.
Houston is showing he is a force that offenses have to deal with in his 3rd season in the NFL. He continues to improve and he is one of the reason the Chiefs defense is so dominant this season. He took a shot in Sundays game that gave him a head and neck injury and never missed a defensive play.
Head Coach Andy Reid said on Monday, Houston seems to be OK and the news couldn’t have been better for the Chiefs sack leader. This kid is something special and we would hate to see him miss time due to injury.
I am sure Andy Reid wouldn’t want to see Houston miss a game either. I can’t wait to see how he does in his next five games.
