Tiger Woods has failed to make a move on the leaders at the Bridgestone Invitational at the Firestone Country Club in Akron Ohio, a place Woods has won at 7 times before. Woods only bogey came on his first hole number 10, he then pared the other 8 holes on the back nine. Jim Furyk continues to distance himself from the field. Jim Furyk is 3 under par in his second round with 6 holes left to play. Furyk made birdies at holes 2,6,9 and 12. His only bogey so far in today’s round came at number 8.
Rafael Cabrera Bello tried making an early move and overtook Furyk monetarily today, he is at 8 under par in second place alone, with one hole left to play. If Tiger Woods plans on taking his 8th at Firestone, he is going to have to play the front nine well. I am not saying Woods acan’t make up 11 strokes on the weekend, it is just that we all know Tiger doesn’t do well when trailing.
