The 2013 season officially got under way today for Tiger Woods. He couldn’t hit a drive to save his life but he did make some great bunker shots to save his first round. Woods shot a 4 under par 68 to find himself in a tie for 20th place at Torrey Pines. Tiger opened his 2013 season with a birdie on hole number one. He then pared the next 2 holes before making a double bogey 6 on the 4th hole. Woods then fought back with a birdie on 5 and an eagle at the par 5 sixth hole. Tiger was up and down like an elevator on his front nine. He pared number 7 and made birdies at 8 and 9 to go out in 4 under par.

Woods then played the back a bit more efficiently, he made 2 birdies and 2 bogies to come in with an even par back nine to finish his first round of the 2013 PGA season at 4 under par and 3 strokes off the lead which is held by Brant Snedeker with a nice opening round of 7 under par 65 today. If Tiger could leave the driver in the bag, he could play better in the second round.
