The Detroit Tigers took his loss serious and pounded the Oakland A’s   12-2 to win their 78th game of the season. The Tigers are still 3 games back of the White Sox in the A.L. Central race.

Detroit had an offense explosion in the game, Miguel Cabrera went 3 for 4 and had 6 R.B.I.’s in the game. The problem is the White Sox aren’t giving the Tigers any help, they have won their last 5 games and they don’t show any signs of slowing down. The Tigers can only hope they can continue to win and the Sox lose some games coming into the stretch. The season is down to 15 games remaining for Jim Leyland’s Tigers, they would be will suited to win them all and not look back. With the way the White Sox are playing, it could take a solid charge by Detroit to make things interesting….
