The San Fransisco 49ers lost their starting defensive tackle Ian Williams who went down in the 1st quarter of play against the Seahawks with a broken ankle. Williams broke his ankle when he had another player fall on his leg trapping it between him and the field.

Williams had to be helped off the field and then he was carted into the locker room. The 49ers are going to miss Williams. The 6’1′ 305lbs DT is listed as the 49eers nose tackle and he has a way of helping to plug some holes in the defensive line.

The 49ers will probably have to play without Williams for the remainder of the 2013 season. Williams played in the Green Bay game and he had one solo tackle. He isn’t a starter but he is the guy they started tonight.

This was Williams 3rd year with the 49ers.
