Lets face it good pitching stops good hitting in baseball, that is the way it has been since the beginning and that is the way it is going for the San Francisco Giants who shut the Detroit Tigers out for the second game in a row. The Giants are making it look easy to win this World Series. The pitching staff for the Giants is doing an excellent job of shutting down the Tigers. Ryan Vogelsong looked a little shaky in his start last night but he didn’t surrender any runs. Giving up five hits and 4 walks with only 3 strikeouts wasn’t the best effort we have seen out of the Giants pitching staff, it was enough to shut down the Tigers.

The Giants are in a great place to take the World Series, they are one game away from claiming the top prize in major league baseball and it is looking easy for this team. The Giants have found out what it takes to play some great baseball and we are seeing it since they were down 2 games to the Reds.  In order for them to lose this world series they would have to drop 4 games in a row. That isn’t going to happen with the way this team is playing. The Giants should go on to win the 2012 world series without too much trouble from the Tigers at all. The pitching was just too good…
