The New York Yankees lost their second game in a row as the Braves beat the Yankees 10-5. The Yankees won ten games in a row before losing tow in a row to the Atlanta Braves. The Yankees looked unstoppable when they were winning and I’ll bet the men in pin stripes get back to their winning ways sooner rather than later. The Yankees starting pitcher Phil Hughes didn’t help their cause in his outing last night. Hughes gave up 6 hits and 6 runs with four of them being home runs in the 4-1/3 innings he pitched.

It was a good thing Hughes had five strike outs but the damage was already done. The rest of the Yankees pitchers gave up four more runs last night as the Braves were able to hold the team from the big apple to five runs. The Yankees are 2-1/2 games ahead of Baltimore on top of the American League East in first place.
