What’s up with the Minnesota Twins, they swept the Indians, beat the first place Chicago White Sox once in the last series and now have taken two in a row over the Boston Red Sox. Didn’t these guys on the Twins know things like this are not suppose to happen? The Twins taking two in a row over Boston is very impressive, it shows they do have the talent on the team to win in the American League. The Twins got some good hitting from their offense and were able to overtake the Red Sox with a 4 run fifth inning rally that enabled them to win in the tenth.

The Twins tied the game at 5 and then the Twins pitching staff held the Red Sox scoreless for the next 6 innings. The Twins would go to their Bull-Pen in the 7th and the guys did their job. Casey Fien came in for an inning and allowed one hit, struck out two and didn’t give up any runs. Then the Twins would use an array of pitches to allow them to extend the game into extra innings. Alex Burnett,Tyler Robertson,Jeff Gray, and Jared Burton all saw some action in this game.

In the tenth inning is would be Twins second baseman Jamey Carroll that drove in the winning run with a base hit to right center to give the Twins their second win over the Red Sox 6-5.
