The Minnesota Twins have been on a roll, they came back in the 9th inning to beat the Cleveland Indians for the second night in a row, the Twins handed the Indians their 11th loss in a row. Not only did the Twins beat the Indians, they did it against one of the best closers in the Major Leagues, Chris Perez was UN-successful again. This is the fifth straight win for the Twins against the Indians. The Twins were down in the 9th by a run, the Indians sent Perez into the game to face the meat of the Twins line up.

The Ninth inning saw Indians first baseman Casey Kotchman make an error which allowed Justin Morneau to be safe at first and Darin Mastroianni scored tying the game at 5. Then Tsuyoshi Nishioka hit a sacrifice fly to left field that allowed Morneau to score, just like that the Twins would take the lead. It was over yet, Brian Dozier hit a fly ball to shallow left field and Ryan Doumit would score giving the Twins a 3 run lead over the Indians, Manny Acta would pull Chris Perez from the game, I can’t remember the last time Perez was pulled from a game.

The Twins were able to hold the Indians score-less in the bottom of the 9th to take the win and send the Tribe to their 11th loss in a row. With the win the Twins move to within one game of the Indians for 3rd place in the A.L. Central.
