The Indianapolis Colts didn’t play Andrew Luck long enough today to get a win over the Washington Redskins. The Colts did see a nice 31 yard touchdown pass from Luck to T.Y. Hilton to put the Colts in tie with Washington at 7 in the second quarter. Then RGIII did some more of his magic to put the Redskins back on top 14-7 with a 4 yard pass to Santana Moss. That’s when the Colts Luck ran out, he left the game and didn’t return in the second half. The Colts would see the Washington Redskins dominate the rest of the game.

Andrew Luck played well, he was 12 of 23 for 151 yards and one touchdown. It is hard to compare Luck and RGIII at this point, it appears Washington’s team is better prepared at this time than the Colts were. The Colts would lose the game 30-17 to Washington and the Colts defense needs to get better. It is always difficult to judge just how good a team is at this point in the preseason when the teams are playing guys that may not even make their roster.

Both Andrew Luck and RGIII looked good today. It was a battle for the ages, both guys showed why they went 1 and 2 in the 2012 NFL draft. Both Luck and Griffin are going to make an impact this season for their teams. Rex Grossman looked perfect today, funny how a guy coming into camp by the name of RGIII can bring out the best in a guy. Grossman helped to bury the Colts going 8 for 8 with 2 touchdowns.

The Colts amazingly look like a whole different team when Luck is on the game, much like they did with Peyton Manning..Needless to say it is going to be an interesting year in Indy with Andrew Luck. I really wished we could have seen a real game today where both Luck and RGIII played all 4 quarters…..I’ll bet millions of other football fans feel the same way.
