It is becoming very clear to the Detroit Tigers the Texas Rangers are a much better baseball team at this point in the season. The Tigers have been hammered by the Rangers twice already this weekend. The Detroit Tigers pitchers have given up 20 runs to the Rangers. The Tigers pitching staff doen’t know what has hit them, the MLB score-keepers sure do though. The Tigers aren’t out of the woods yet. They are lucky enough to take on the Rangers again tonight at 7:05 to make up the game they missed that was postponed yesterday.
Then the Tigers get to play the Rangers again tomorrow in the finally of this four game series. The Tigers had Rick Porcello on the mound today, that didn’t last very long. In one inning of work Porcello gave up 10 hits 9 runs 8 of them earned and he struck out one and walked one too. Needless to say it wasn’t a day when Porcello had his good stuff. The Tigers were able to put four runs on the board today.
Two runs came in the fourth inning, one when Austin Jackson hit a solo shot to left center and the other coming when Delmon Young doubled to deep center and Miguel Cabrera was able to score. The other two runs wouldn’t come until the eighth when Miguel Cabrera homered to left and it drove in Brennan Boesch. The Detroit tigers fall to 9-5 with the loss and they are only one game in front of the quick charging Cleveland Indians. New Tim Tebow Song “Teow and the Jets” only 99 cents free download.
