When you are paying a bunch of money to guy like, Miguel Cabrera, Prince Fielder and Jhonny Peralta  you expect at least one of them to go to the plate and get you a hit. Well, it didn’t happen. As a matter of fact none of the Tigers starting line up got a hit in their 2-1 spring opening victory over the Atlanta braves today in Kissimmee, Florida. The Tigers starters didn’t get anything going at the plate in this one. Lets hope this is not a sign of things to come Detroit’s way

He is how it went for the Tigers offensively. Victor Martinez, went 0-for-2 with a strikeout. Miguel Cabrera went 0-for-3. Then Prince Fielder 0-for-1 with two walks. You can see the starters  were struggling. Nick Castellanos 0-for-1 with a walk, Quintin Berry 0-for-3 with two strikeouts, Omar Infante 0-for-3, Jhonny Peralta 0-for-2, Brayan Pena 0-for-2 and Avisail Garcia 0-for-1 with a walk.

The bright spot for the Tigers was Rick Porcello, who pitched two perfect innings.
