The Cincinnati Reds couldn’t get it done as the Giants were able to win game 3 2-1 over the high-powered Cincinnati Reds team. The Reds could only get one run on the board, their offense must have used up too many runs in game 2. The Reds had a good 7 innings of pitching from Homer Bailey who got the start. Bailey was able to strike out 10 as he only gave up one run. The Reds got a good inning of relief from Sean Marshall and Aroldis Chapman came in and held the Giants too.
Reds pitcher Jonathan Broxton didn’t fare so well, he came in and gave up 2 hits and 1 one that would be the deciding run for the Giants. The Cincinnati Reds offense had a slow night and the Giants knew without a win they would be ending their post season play and packing it up until next year. The Reds have 2 more games to win one, the Giants would have to win the next 2 in order to take the series from Cincinnati. Hey, stranger things have happened. It is time for the Reds to buckle down and play some great baseball, they have played too well this season to go down in flames now.
