The Cincinnati Reds have made it look easy to beat the Cleveland Indians. Thanks to a great pitching effort by Mat Latos in last nights game the Reds move to 2-0 against the Indians in the battle of Ohio. Lastos pitched 6-1/3 good innings last night in the Queen city in game 2.

Latos struck out 7 Indians batters while only allowing the Tribe to score 1 run. The Reds go to Cleveland to continue the battle of Ohio tonight and the way the Reds pitching is performing, they could very well complete the sweep in this inter-league match up.

The Reds offense showed they could take advantage of a struggling Indians Bull-pen. They were able to take advantage of a struggling Bryan Shaw in the 7th inning, scoring 4 runs on 5 hits. The 7th inning put an end to any hope the Indians had of taking at least one game from the Reds in their home ball-park.

The Reds pitching has done a great job in this round of the Battle of Ohio. If they continue to perform the way they have in the first 2 games, the Indians are going to have a difficult time taking any of the games in Cleveland.

The Reds are now 33-19 on the season and have shown, you don’t come into their ball-park Great American Field and expect to win. They are 20-7 on their home field.
