The Chicago White Sox turned a lot of heads in the first half. The team people thought couldn’t contend has a three game lead in the A.L. Central Division and they could have made it four if they didn’t lose to the Toronto Blue Jays 11-9 in their last game before the All-Star Break. The White Sox were down in the game by 4 runs until the fifth inning when the White Sox turned it up a little with a four run rally.

The White Sox are at 47-38 at the break and have won 7 out of their last ten games. People didn’t give the Sox a chance to contend in the A.L. Central this season, they thought the team would do more of the same as last year. Now the question becomes whether or not the White Sox can continue to play the same kind of baseball in the second half. The Sox have a tough road ahead to make it to the play-offs. The Cleveland Indians sit just three games bask and people are saying the Indians haven’t played their best baseball yet.

The White Sox should enjoy the All-Star break then come out hot once the second half starts. They have a powerful offense and when they get hot, the team is hard to stop. It is going to be an interesting second half for the Chicago White Sox.

Man, you are right, I didn’t think the White Sox would be this good this year at all. I bet they can hold onto the lead for most of the second half. That is if they don’t fall victim to unexpected injuries….

The Chicago White Sox have a better team than a lot of people realize. Alex Rios is finally playing like the player Kenny Williams signed him for. Getting Youkilis make this line up a killer. If they’re pitching remains the same as it was at the end of the break, LOOK OUT.
