The White Sox were able to take advantage of the Cleveland Indians last night to get a win in the fourth game of the series in Cleveland. Chicago pitcher Jake Peavy did a great job shutting down the Cleveland offense for six inning. Peavy didn’t give up a run until the 7th inning, he struck out five only gave up one walk and 7 hits. The Big news was Peavy was able to get out of trouble when it showed up. The Indians had a few opportunities to get something going but Peavy and the White Sox were able to get out of it.

Chicago got things going quickly with a Adam Dunn 2 run blast in the first inning to make it 2-0 White Sox from the start. That set the tone for the White Sox who would score 6 more runs before the seventh inning stretch with a 6 run fourth inning off Indians pitcher Jeanmar Gomez, who until last night has done fairly well this season. The White Sox would pretty much hit at will in the fourth, going through the line up at the plate and scoring six runs clearly showed Chicago wasn’t going to let this game get away from them. The Indians would get on the board only once against Chicago pitching last night.

The White Sox would leave Cleveland splitting the four game set with the Indians to remain 3 games behind in the A.L. Central as they beat the Indians 8-1.
