The last time Peyton Manning faced the San Diego Chargers, they did a pretty good job of hitting Manning in his lower legs. Manning felt the pain they inflected into his ankles for weeks and he underwent an MRI after the game.

This time around the Broncos offensive line needs to do a better job of protecting their quarterback. The Broncos can’t afford to lose Manning who has led the team to an 11-2 record this season.

The Broncos are play-off bound and they need Manning to remain healthy. The team has a chance to improve on their record from last season and to do it, Manning has to stay healthy.

This time around the Chargers have to play at Mile High stadium and Manning will have the advantage. His home town crowd will make it difficult for Rivers and his Chargers offense. Manning will be able to rip the Chargers defense apart if he can stay on his feet.

The great thing about Manning is his ability to get rid of the football quickly. The refs have to pay attention so that the Chargers aren’t hitting Manning too late.

They are going to come after the quarterback and they know first hand the damage they did to Peyton in their first match up this season.

Denver is favored to win the game by 10-1/2 points and the Chargers know it is next to impossible to beat Manning and his Broncos at home. Protecting Manning should be the Broncos first priority in this game.
