The Braves were the best team in baseball in the National League east this season. They won 96 games but we all know that means nothing in the play offs. Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Braves with the long ball last night.
Freddy Garcia gave up 2 home runs and David Carpenter gave up one home run to the Dodgers in-game 4 last night.
The Atlanta offense couldn’t take advantage of the Dodgers pitching staff. Clayton Kershaw got the start for L.A. and he gave up only 2 runs in the 6 innings he worked.
Atlanta fell behind early in the game and fought to come back tying the game at 2 in the 4th inning.
Things started looking good for Atlanta in the 8th win they jumped into the lead for the first time in-game 4, but the Dodgers put the dagger in the back of the Braves when Juan Uribe, the Dodgers 3rd baseman hit a 2 run blast to put L.A. back out in front.
Atlanta could do nothing in the 9th and they would lose game 4 and be eliminated from fall play. This marked the end of the Braves world series hopes and the loss sent the Braves home until next season.
