The Houston Texans couldn’t stay focused on football according to quarterback Case Keenum. The Texans had an 18 point lead over the Indianapolis Colts heading into the locker room at the half.

That’s when it happened. Their head coach collapsed and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The Texans then came out for the second half and they collapsed.

They blew an 18 point lead to the Colts and they lost the game by a final score of 27-24 to the Colts. It’s not clear at this time what happened to Kubiak.

What is clear is the Texans as a team didn’t handle the situation very well. It’s understandable to be concerned about the team’s head coach, but Kubiak would have liked the win.

Kubiak’s absence could have contributed to the Texans offensive breakdown. He is the guy that calls the plays.

Wade Phillips took over the head coaching responsibilities in the second half. He just lost his father Bum Phillips less than a week ago. It had to be a frightening moment for Phillips to see Kubiak collapse.

There is still not a cause for the head coaches collapse but the sure is a good reason for the teams collapse. Hopefully Kubiak will be released from the hospital today and he will be fine.

As far as the rest of the Texans season goes, it is doubtful they will be fine. With the loss to the Colts they now fall to 2-6 on the season.
