Sung Kang played fairly solid today with a 1 under par 71. 3 bogeys through the round kept him from going a lot lower.

The best thing Kang did today was going par- par on the last 2 holes.

Rickie Fowler was a freight train early today blowing past Kang by firing a 5 under par 31 on the front side.

The back nine was looking good too as he ran off 3 birdies in a row and was 17 under par after 16.

Just like round 2 Rickie got sloppy at the end and went bogey double bogey on 17 & 18.

Geeze……..this was his to lose and it has me worried. When you step up to play the last 4 holes you just can not forget what you have done the last 2 days.

I mean Rickie had 8 birdies thru the first 16 holes. Makes you want to pull your hair out, and I only have about 30 left, lol lol.

It looks like a threat of weather coming in on Sunday so the tournament officials are going to start the 4th round early and play 3 somes off one and ten.

Rickie will be teamed up with Sung Kang and Russell Henley. It will be a fun round to watch.

I am pretty sure they go off at 11:05 EST. The tv coverage should begin at 1:00.

We will get to see a lot of the final group.

Kang is sitting at -17 and seems to be playing very solid. Rickie is 3 shots back and Russell Henley is 4 behind!

Going to be an exciting and EARLY finish.

The Champions tour is being played at Fallen Oak and the tourney is the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic.

It is so exciting because my home town guy GENE SAUERS is leading and playing very solid golf. 29-34. Wow what a round today.

Gene has a one shot lead over Miguel Angel Jimenez. Gene will be playing with him and Glen Day for their final round Sunday.

Go get em Gene!!! We are all pulling for ya!!
