Sunday at the Masters never lets us down, and the 2017 Masters was no exception!!!

I think somebody famous may have said that but I’m saying it today!

Oh my goodness it was a Masters to remember!

Sergio Garcia and Justin Rose were paired together and thank goodness they were. It was a tennis match……..back and forth all day.

Sergio did all he could to lose going into the back nine but suddenly he birdies 14 and EAGLES 15, the first eagle on the final day of the Masters since Jose Maria Olazabel did it last.

Of course Jose is a proud Spaniard just like Sergio is.

Justin Rose went at it with Sergio like an Ali/ Foreman fight. Back and forth back and forth. I was ready to have a stroke!

On the 72nd hole they stood on the tee even at -9 under par.

Both guys hit the green in 2 and had make-able putts. Both missed to force a playoff.

They went back to the 18th and Rosie hit to the right in the pine straw. Sergio hit it dead center. Rose punched out and Sergio hit the green in 2.

Justin Rose had a decent putt to put the pressure on Sergio. He missed it and Sergio drained the birdie putt on the first sudden death hole and that was it.

El ‘Nino had his first Major after 73 tries! It was the “Masters” OMG $1,980,000 is the first place money. The crazy thing is all he wanted was the green jacket!

Don’t feel that bad for Justin Rose because he will cash a check for over a million bucks.

I am serious they do cash a check. The Masters is the only tournament that sends the recipients their checks in a couple of weeks.

What a week we had in Augusta Georgia…….Thursday and Friday the avg drive was 250 yards because it was so cold. Today, Sunday, there were many drives over 350 yards.

Charl Schwartzel all ready has a green jacket but he came on strong and ended up in 3rd place and earned just shy of 3/4 of a million bucks.

Tons of great shots but the best today was Matt Kuchar’s hole in one on #16.

Matty was so cool signing his ball and giving to a cute little kid next to the green!

Favorites such as Rory McIlroy (7th), Adam Scott (t9), Ricky Fowler and Jordan Spieth both t11, floundered during the final nine holes.

Every year the Masters is won on the final nine the last day. It’s incredible!

I have seen every Major since the 60’s and you know exactly what I am going to say next…..2017 Masters was the best!!

I won’t give you a dozen reasons but each year this is the tournament that makes excitement!

I am not sure I can sleep tonight but I have to because the Tour comes to Hilton Head Island this week and I will be right there in the middle of everything to bring you some good scoops!

Make sure to watch the RBC Heritage presented by Boeing on the Golf Channel Thursday and Friday and on CBS on Saturday and Sunday.

Have a super week keep watching tv and reading all of our articles!
