Sergio Garcia take his 2 shot lead to bed with him tonight as he looks to win his second PGA Tour event in a week. Garcia who won his last event at the Wyndham that had a Monday finish, has a 2 stroke lead over Nick Watney. Garcia has found his game after not winning on U.S. Soil in 4 years. Garcia played a solid third round today at Bethpage black shooting a 2 under par 69 in his third round. Garcia hit a few bumps in his third round making 3 bogeys today, he was able to right the ship with his 5 birdies to stay on top of the leader board heading into the final round at the Barclays.

Sergio is doing all of this with a substitute caddy, today he had a CBS employee carrying his bag and last week he had a local caddy at the Wyndham. Garcia is certainly focused on making the Ryder cup team and his play is showing he is deserving of a spot on the team. If Sergio can hang on and win tomorrow he will turn heads around the world. There are a lot of guys behind Sergio that will be looking to make a move in the final round including Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods who are both tied at -4 in tenth place. 6 strokes aren’t that much to make up at a course like Bethpage Black. Garcia is going to need a solid round to get the win tomorrow.
