The San Antonio Spurs rolled into Cleveland Tonight and gave Dan Gilbert something to tweet about. The Spurs beat the Cleveland Cavaliers by 35 points. Just a short time back you may recall Cavaliers owner sending a tweet saying the Cavaliers fans deserve better defense than the team is giving them. Tonight the Spurs showed the fans and Dan Gilbert the fans still aren’t getting what they deserve. The Spurs out played the Cleveland Cavaliers in every aspect of the game tonight. The Spurs jumped out to a early lead and never really had to look back, except if they were wondering where the Cavalier defenders were, because they sure weren’t in front of them trying to stop the Spurs from scoring.
The San Antonio Spurs outscored the Cavs by 14 points in the first quarter and lead the Cavaliers 32-18 after one. The Spurs continued to play the kind of basketball they are capable of playing and outscored the defenseless Cleveland team in the second quarter by 5 to lead at the half 60-41 at the half. The Spurs came out after halftime and continued to pour it on to the Cleveland Cavaliers who could have just came out of the locker room and threw in the white towel. The Spurs lead after three 90-63.
The Cavaliers have a way of coming back and making a game out of it in the fourth quarter, tonight they were not able to do that either. The Spurs would outscore Cleveland in the fourth quarter by 8 points to win the game 125-90. If Dan Gilbert had something to tweet about a week ago just think about what his twitter account is going through tonight.
Tony Parker and Daniel Green led the Spurs in scoring tonight with 19 points. The Spurs bench played big tonight with Patrick Mills adding 20 points. The rest of the Spurs bench contributed 42 points. The Cavaliers looked lost facing this San Antonio Spurs team tonight. It was almost UN-fair.
