Drew Bress throws for 341 yards and can’t find the end-zone with one of his 28 completions. What is worse is for the first time in his career he threw 5 interceptions. So much for the pep talk Brees gave his Saints before the game started as to how the Saints own the division and not the Atlanta Falcons. The Saints felt the wrath of Atlanta this week, first it was the Atlanta fans egging the Saints bus at the airport and then it was the Falcons defensive backs playing 5 of Drew Bree’s passes just right.
Drew Brees the man who has thrown a touchdown pass in 54 straight games could throw one tonight. The Saints did find the end-zone only to see the pass called back because of a penalty. Then it was the Saints poor clock management before the half that stopped Brees from finding the end-zone with his arm in the first half. In the second half it would be the play of the Falcons defense who would stop Brees from finding the end zone. The streak is over and the owners of the Division are about to change too. Just ask Drew Brees who looks to own it now.
