Ryan Palmer fired a 5 under par 67 today at the Farmers Insurance Open, to move into first place and a one shot lead over last year’s champion Jon Rahm.

Solid golf with a wonderful putt on #18 was what it took to get the job done today.

Jon Rahm has been a big part of this tournament because he won it last year which makes him defending champ.

He is also coming off a win last week at the Career Builder Challenge.

A win this week will pretty much lock up the #1 spot in the world.

He was asked about being world #1 and he calmly said if it doesn’t happen this week it will eventually!

Very confident young man who seems to spend more time in the top 10 than anyone in recent years.

17 top 10’s in 38 events right out of the gate and don’t forget the 2 wins he has notched in his belt.

A Major Championship isn’t too far away. Wow do we have a great group of golfers on the PGA Tour now!!

Definitely all eyes were focused on Tiger Woods today.

Finishing yesterday by almost a hole in one on #16 everybody was expecting a lot today.

He didn’t start as strong as we would have liked but made up for it with a birdie on #18 to finish the 2 days at -1 under par.

That was the cut mark. He mentioned in his post round interview that he is only 10 shots off the lead.

He’s going out tomorrow and Sunday with only one thing on his mind ………..a WIN! Boy you just never know.

Personally I felt bad for the 27, yes 27, guys who ended even par and missed the cut by one stroke.

We all know these guys and some awesome people are being left off the weekend train!

Have fun watching. Should be bother wonderful finish!
