Russell Knox is in the Clubhouse tied for the lead at 6 under par at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. Knox who is at 6 under par currently share the lead with Hunter Mahan who still has 2 holes left to play in his first round. Knox played his first round over at the Monterey Peninsula Country Club. He teed off on number 10 and played the back side first. He pared number 10 and then made back to back birdies at 11 & 12. he then pared 13 before making bogey on the 14th hole. Knox got that stroke back with a birdie on number 15 and then birdied 16 as well.

He then made pars on 17 & 18 to finish his first nine on the day at 3 under par 33. Knox then played the par 4 first hole (his 11th) making another bogey, only his second on the day to this point. He birdied 2 and 3 before making par at 4 & 5. Knox made 2 more birdies at 6 and 8 to finish his day at 6 under par 64. Knox is from Inverness, Scotland and turned pro in 2007. He missed the cut at the Sony Open in Hawaii his only other start in the 2013 PGA Tour.
