Russell Henley not only got his third PGA Tour victory by winning the Shell Houston Open,  he got a ticket to play in the Masters this coming week.

Nobody was happier than Russell and his wife Teil.

How can you overcome a 4 shot deficit on Sunday?? Well a 7 under par 65 certainly helped.

Not only did he win but he won in style….by 3 shots!! Incredible round by Henley exactly when he needed it most.

I was so psyched the other day when Rickie Fowler had 8 birdies but Russell had 10 today WOW!

He caught Kang early with 5 birdies on the first 8 holes but proceeded to double bogey the par 3 ninth hole. Messed up in the sand by the green.

Rickie was always close. His big mess up today came on #2 where he hit a crummy drive and double bogeys the hole.

Would have, Could have, & Should have. That’s how you round out Rickie Fowler’s week.

Take away the doubles, I mean forget about the bogeys, just remove the stupid doubles this weekend he would have won!

So hats off to Russell Henley for a great 4 days and good luck at the Masters this year.

Sung Kang did end up second 3 strokes back at -17 under par.

Rickie Fowler and Luke List tied for 3rd place at 16 under for the tourney.

The Champions tour went into a playoff today with Gene Sauers and Miguel Angel Jimenez.

Jimenez got a birdie on the first playoff hole and defended his championship he won last year.

Congratulations to Gene Sauers for almost winning another tournament.

Last year’s Senior US Open champ has played great golf and will win a lot more tournaments.

Everybody is gearing up for what might be the greatest week in golf. THE MASTERS!

I only wish I could be a fly on the wall for the Champions dinner Tuesday night!

There will be tears and laughter as the Champions celebrate the life of Arnold Palmer.

Wow so many years and so many stories told by Mr. Palmer. He will be dearly missed.

Enjoy the Masters!!!!
