Rory Sabbatini fired a fabulous -7 under par round this morning to lead the RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing after round one.

Rory admitted that he had hurt himself on Sunday working on his posture and golf swing.

He called it “a stupid thing”.

He said that he was so fortunate to get out early today before the gusts of wind became a factor.

The course was is beautiful condition and is playing as easy as it ever has according to Sabbatini.

His thrill today was to get the birdie on #18.

The size of that green is so tiny and gives up only a few birdies.

He said that he loves this course and has to keep shooting the lowest possible scores he can the rest of the week and maybe just maybe he will be hoisting the trophy come Sunday.

The biggest story this week obviously is the fact that we have world #1 Dustin Johnson in the field.

DJ was one under and 6 off the lead. What most people don’t know is that Dustin reeled off a massive 10 birdie round in the Pro-Am Wednesday.

His putting left a lot to be desired as he missed some short ones on the back nine.

He is using the same brand putter he always has but just a different color.

Personally I would go back to the other putter!!

He was my favorite to win this week.

Even though Harbour Town is a shorter course it still is not an easy course.

It has some of the smallest greens on the PGA Tour.

He also said how nice it was to be paired with Wesley Bryan as they are really good friends and have known each other for a long time!

Wow we are in for a great tournament. Odds are the morning tee times will fare better than later just like today. The wind is definitely a great equalizer.
