Rory McIlroy could end up being the kid who eventually breaks Jack Nikolaus’s record of Major Wins. McIlroy over took the field today to win his second Fedex play-off in a week, a feat Tiger Woods even is left to admire about the young man from Holywood, Northern Ireland. McIlroy is unstoppable these day, the kid is just playing fantastic golf. It is no wonder why he is the number one player in the world, it is hard enough to win an event as huge as the BMW or the Deutsche Bank Championship, wining them back to back with guys like Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods chasing you is unheard of.

McIlroy shot a round of 67 today to finish the BMW Championship by 2 strokes at 20 under par over Phil Mickelson and Lee Westwood. Tiger Woods came in 3rd place at 17 under par. Rory McIlroy is the hottest golfer on the planet right now, I wouldn’t be a bit surprised to see this kid win the FedEx Cup and claim the 10 million dollars that goes with it. The rest of the field has to be impressed with the way Rory is playing these past few weeks, there aren’t many guys who we would see this display of golf from. This is his time and no one has been able to take it away from him yet.
