Robert Griffin III named the AP’s offensive rookie  of the year, this class had a lot of talent in it and to name RGIII rookie of the year had to be a tough choice. Never in the History of the NFL has there been so much talent in the NFL from a rookie class. RGIII faced some stiff competition from guys like Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson and others. The NFL was packed with rookie talent in 2012 and  for RGIII to walk away with the offensive rookie of the year award shows just how much he impressed the AP.

RGIII took his Redskins to a new level this past season, he 22nd in quarterback player stats, that’s 15 places behind Andrew Luck and one place in front of Russell Wilson on the Q.B. List. Still RGIII on field performance had to impress the AP enough to give him the Offensive Rookie of the year award. RGIII’s season came to an end when he injured his knee in the play offs. Now that he has had knee surgery, guys like Adrian Peterson are coming forward offering him some rehab tips. Maybe RGIII should listen to Peterson, after all we all saw what he did in the 2012 season.
