This is the last year the AT&T Byron Nelson will be held at the TPC Four Seasons Course.

Some of the guys are sad but a lot of the players who are looking forward to a new venue.

James Hahn fired a perfect round, in my eyes anyway, 6 birdies and 12 pars a beautiful 64 the easy way!

Ricky had 2 more birdies but 2 bogies blemished his card. Still adds up to a 64 though. Always remember we write scores……we don’t take photos of each shot.

This tournament always draws a good solid field and this year is no exception.

We have a 4 way tie for third place 2 shots back at -4 under par. Matt Kuchar, Jonny Vegas, Jason Kokrak, & Cameron Tringale. I have always wondered if a strong wind would blow Tringale away……..boy is he thin.

Anybody see Jason Day today?

Ripped body and I think maybe a little too big in the chest area.

He managed a -2 under par 68 just like Jordan Spieth who is fooling around with a putter that has a new feel. He did admit it didn’t do that much differently than his old putter.

We have Ernie Els in the field along with Louie Oosthuizen and both of these great South Africans ended up at -1 under par today.

World number one, Dustin Johnson, is strong at -3 and is in a t7 position.

Ian Poulter is in the field and in a t41 at even par. Everybody was trying to ask him about Brandel Chamblee’s comments that he wasn’t trying down the stretch last week.

All I know is that he made just under $1,000,000 and is smiling all the way to the bank. This tour is big money and sometimes guys play it safe for the cash. Who am I to argue with that!

My goodness we even had a +14 shot today. That ‘s 20 strokes difference between 1st place and dead last place. Amazing!!!!

Be ready to see some great golf Friday and of course the rest of this weekend.

Kind of strange to not have Byron Nelson there. Sort of like the API at BayHill without Arnie there. I miss those greats of the game.

Have a great weekend and we will catch up tomorrow.
