Don’t look now Redskins fans, but your quarterback Robert Griffin III had to leave the game in the fourth quarter with an injury to his left knee. Some are saying his exit was precautionary while others aren’t sure how bad he was hurt.

Nonetheless the Washington Redskins offensive line watched helplessly as the Denver defense pounded the hell out of RGII today. Griffin is lucky to be walking now.

The Broncos defense hit RGIII 13 times in the game and sacked him 3 times. The Redskins couldn’t stop the Denver offense and Manning had his way with Washington today.

The big problem was the Redskins defense couldn’t stop Manning even with a 4th and goal. This Redskins defense isn’t helping RGIII at all this season.

The Redskins can’t continue to play from behind in every game. If they fall behind team’s know RGIII is going to have to drop back and throw and when he does, the O-line is not protecting him.

The way things are going this season, RGIII will be lucky to survive the season. He has taken a pounding and the question is how long can he continue to take these kinds of beatings?

Washington is now 2-5 on the season and they should consider putting RGIII on the shelf for a while. It would do his body some good to take a break and his knee is going to need time to heal.

If they don’t find a way to protect this kid, his NFL career is going to be cut short.
