The Washington Redskins used the teams last preseason game to see how their running game looks. The Redskins rushed the ball 41 times for 228 yards using 4 different running backs. For the fans who wanted to see Robert Griffin III in this one they were disappointed, RGIII didn’t play. Kirk Cousins went 15 of 27 for 222 yards and one interception. He didn’t throw any touchdowns. Crompton played very little and only threw 2 passes for 9 yards and one interception. Needless to say Crompton didn’t have a good showing.

The Redskins defense looked good, they got to the Buccaneers quarterbacks sacking them 5 times in the game. The redskins defense pressured the Tampa Bay quarterbacks causing them to throw 3 interceptions too. If the Redskins defense can pressure the passer like this all season long, they are going to be a big help to RGIII.
