Homer Bailey completes his 2nd no-hitter in less than 90 games. He has just thrown the first no-hitter of the 2013 MLB season. He shut down the San Francisco Giants to give the Reds a 3-0 win over the Giants.

Bailey pitched very well in the game. He had 9 strike outs and only walked one batter. Bailey threw 109 pitches and 74 of them were for strikes. His last no-hitter came against the Pittsburgh Pirates on September 28, 2012.

Within 10 months Bailey throws 2 no-hitters, I’d say that is pretty good pitching from Bailey and I am sure a lot of others would feel the same. The Reds move to 48-36 on the season and they are now 4-1/2 games back in the N.L. Central.

Bailey dominated the Giants tonight and he deserved to get his second no-hitter in less than a year. He is one heck of a great pitcher and he is showing the world what he can do when he brings his good stuff to the mound.

Lots of baseball has been played this season and Bailey is the only guy to complete a no-hitter. There are a lot of one hit games in 2013, but no one else has completed a no-hitter. Congratulations to Homer Bailey.
