Rajon Rondo played a great game as the Boston Celtics eliminated the Philadelphia 76ers to put the Celtics into a match up people are waiting for. The Celtics now have set the stage to take on the Miami Heat. The Celtics looked like they were going to be the team that would be gone. Rondo and company had other ideas as they pushed past the Sixers 85-75. The Boston Celtics are an experienced team that won’t put up with the antics the Miami Heat pulled on the much younger Indiana Pacers team.

The Celtics had a good effort from all the starters on the team, Paul Pierce scored 15 points, Kevin Garnett hit for 18 points and the entire team were in double digits last night for all the starters. The Miami Heat are going to have their hands full trying to defend a team that is much more rounded than the Pacers team they faced. The Celtics are a team that knows how to come together and win basketball games.

I look for Rondo and company to give the Miami Heat much more of a game than the Pacers. The Celtics are a very experienced team and they have been to this dance more than once. The Heat are going to have to play tough if they expect to get past the Celtics. Remember this is a Celtics team that was able to beat the Miami Heat 3 out of 4 times this season. The Celtics showed 75% of the time they could do battle with the likes of the Miami Heats big three.

Wade and James have had to lift their games to a new height to continue with the teams play-off ambitions. Can they continue to play at the level it is going to take to beat the Boston Celtics? This is a question many are wondering. Bosh may be able to return for this series, if he can play it may help Miami defend the Celtics but the Celtics have more weapons in their starting five which will continue to pressure the Miami Heats defense.

The Celtics have to play the first two games of the series in Miami, I for one don’t think it is going to matter to the Celtics where they play.  The team has a point to prove and it starts Monday night in Miami. Look for an all out war to take place, I am…
