Rajon Rondo helped the Boston Celtics get past the Atlanta Hawks with a triple double. The Boston Celtics are playing some darn good basketball these days, there is something about the play-off that gives this older Celtics team a second wind. Rajon Rondo scored 17 points with 14 rebounds and had 12 assists as the Celtics downed the Hawks 90-84 to take a 2-1 lead in the series. Paul Pierce who played 47 minutes in the game scored 21 points had 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Not too bad for an old guy, Pierce sent a tweet the other day after game two when he played 44 mins and said he was hitting the bed, all those minutes were catching up with the old guy. Paul Peirce just seems to keep getting better with age.
The Celtics continue to get plenty of support from Kevin Garnett, Garnett had 20 points and 13 rebounds which prov ed to be huge in helping his Celtics team control the pace of the game. The Boston Celtics continue to play solid basketball, Atlanta is going to have a tough time slowing the momentum that continues to swing in favor of the Boston Celtics. Ray Allen would come in off the bench and add 13 points to the effort last night.
